Stephen Sims is a native of Ocala and after graduating Vanguard High School in 1990 he attended Culver-Stockton College in Canton, MO on an athletic scholarship until circumstances required that he move back home to help with the family business.
He learned the construction industry as a certified installation technician for the manufactured housing industry and family business from 1991-2008. He earned his Florida Residential Contractors License in 2004 and used it in various areas of residential construction through 2008. In 2009 he went to work for a local site development and aggregate mining company where Steve honed his communication and leadership skills. Steve is a “hands-on” guy and will roll up his sleeves to get the job done.
Steve is married to his best friend and together they have 4 children. The oldest son is currently serving in the U.S. Navy as an aeronautical electrician. The 15 and 16-year-old sons and their 14-year-old daughter are students at Forest High School. All three are exceptional student athletes and compete in football, baseball, and softball both for the high school and local athletic clubs. Stephen’s number one priority still is and always will be, trying to live his life according to God’s Word and doing his best to share that love with my family and neighbors.
